MENTAL HEALTH MEETS
YOUR NEXT TATTOO.

MEET THE TEAM

THE OWNERS

Husband and Wife, Justin and Amanda Slay have relocated to Phoenix, ARIZONA from Wilmington, NORTH CAROLINA with their family. Justin is a 5th year tattooer specializing in black and grey realism. Amanda is in her 3rd year of tattooing, specializing in bold illustration and botanical works.

JULIANNA

Julianna is originally from Long Beach, Ca. and attributes her style and personality to being submerged in the creative and vibrant cultures of Southern California.

She has had a passion for creativity since a young age, exploring various mediums and forms of artistic
expression. She enjoys experimenting with different tattoo styles but anticipates falling under an oriental and realism style in the future!

Outside of the shop she enjoys the outdoors playing tennis and finding new hikes to explore, cooking
elaborate meals, and finding a coffee shop that offers a fun tea drink!

Julianna looks forward to many years of tattooing and creating relationships with her clients while collaborating on beautiful designs!

Paige

Paige Piccinini has been tattooing for almost two years now. She love to tattoo all things fine line, floral and spooky!

Her career began as a permanent makeup artist and esthetician which, ultimately, turned out to be the start of her tattoo journey.

She feels so lucky to be able to call this a career now and to have met so many wonderful people. It’s very important to her that everyone feels safe and comfortable when they come and get tattoo from her!

When she’s not tattooing or drawing she loves reading lots and lots of books. My hope one day is to have enough books in her home to be considered a library.

She can’t wait to meet you all!

WHAT IS TATTOO
THERAPY?

Tattoos have been used medicinally for over 5000 years. Tattoos have been found to reduce cortisol levels according to the American Journal of HUMAN BIOLOGY. This improves the IMMUNE SYSTEM and also helps provide STRESS REDUCTION, enabling tattoos to be potentially useful as a method of THERAPY.

Overall, getting tattoos can be a form of self care & a tool for improving ones mental health. At Happy You’re Here we choose to embrace those aspects of tattooing the best way we know how.

See you soon,
Justin & Amanda Slay
